Biomechanics Warm-Up Games
Hips:
Knees:
Neck & Head:
Hips:
- Flex the ankles, calves and thigh muscles to begin the warm-up
- When those parts are warmed up, run or walk in different directions
- Pause and rotate the hips, push them forwards and back, then left and right
- Then walk with a movement that over exaggerates the hips
Knees:
- Do a half-squat with a straight back, then squat lower and lover before straightening your legs to stand up (repeat until necessary)
- Isolate the chest and shift side to side without moving the hips or stomach
- Move the chest forward to make it convex
- Move it back to make it concave
- Move it in a circular motion with the hips still
Neck & Head:
- Flex head North, East, South, West multiple times
- Show different emotions only using the neck and head
- Variation to previous exercise, have a dialogue with a partner only using the neck, head and face, with the rest of the body still.
